Jim Scroggins

Jim went to Weatherford College Police Academy in 1999 and started his Law Enforcement Career at Hood County Sheriff’s Office in Granbury, Texas as a dispatcher and was eventually promoted to Patrol Deputy. After 5 years on patrol Jim was promoted to Detective where he became a Crime Scene Technician, Crime Scene Digital Photographer, Forensic Data Recovery Technician, and was trained in The Reid Technique of Investigative Interviewing and Advanced Interrogation Techniques. In 2007 Jim accepted a position with the Fort Worth Marshal’s Division in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Deputy Marshal, Jim was assigned to City Hall Building Security which included Dignitary Protection of the Mayor and City Council members. In 2016 Jim became a Certified T.C.O.L.E. Instructor and attended the Fort Worth Police Department Firearm Instructor Program, where he became a Certified Fort Worth Police Academy Firearm Instructor. With this training and education, Jim developed the entire Fort
Worth Marshal Division Firearm Program. Jim is a T.C.O.L.E. Certified Instructor, Firearm Instructor, Patrol Rifle Instructor, Patrol Shotgun Instructor. Jim also holds certificates for Taser Instructor, Glock Armorer, AR15 Armorer and Shotgun Armorer.
